The Detroit Lions released their 2024 regular season schedule on Wednesday night. Lost somewhere all the talk of the schedule and the nine nationally televised games, the Lions snuck in their preseason schedule too. Here's what that looks likes.
Note: The dates and times of the games have not been released yet. We'll update this piece when they are.
This one is notable because at the league meetings in March, the Lions said they were hoping to get to do joint practices with the Giants. Those joint practices look like they'll be happening in New Jersey if they happen.
Heading back to Arrowhead for a game with no stakes this time. Don't look for any starters on either side in this one. The Lions didn't put any starters out there for the most part in 2023 because they favored the joint practices over the preseason games.
The Lions one home preseason game this year. This is the last chance game for all the guys that are on the bubble and hoping to make the roster. It's a good time for Lions fans to get some practice in for the Sunday Night Football season opener against the Rams.
The Steelers are done doing joint practices per GM Omar Khan and the Chiefs probably won't do them either since Andy Reid is not a fan. So it looks like just the one set of joint practices instead of two like last year.
