The official Texas Football X account (@TexasFootball) stirred intrigue with a cryptic post that has many fans salivating.

The tweet, featuring two wide-eyed emojis and tagging @AGENT0__, quoted a Dallas Cowboys announcement about a significant jersey number change for a player dubbed "Agent 0."

The Cowboys' post, shared just minutes earlier, showcased a white shirt being printed with the text "OVERSHOWN" and a bold "0."

Texas Football's response just a few minutes later has sparked speculation about a deeper connection between the Longhorns and the NFL franchise.

The Cowboys' announcement centers on a player switching to the number 0, a move that aligns with the NFL's recent trend of allowing single-digit numbers for more positions.

The name "OVERSHOWN" points to DeMarvion Overshown, a linebacker who played college football at the University of Texas before being drafted by the Cowboys in 2023.

Overshown, known for his versatility and hard-hitting style, has become a fan favorite, and this number change to 0—symbolizing a fresh start—has been met with excitement.

The cryptic reply hints at more than just alumni pride—it signals a deeper connection between two historic Texas-based franchises

The Longhorns' program has a storied history of producing NFL talent, and Overshown’s number change could signal a symbolic nod to his roots.

With the 2025 NFL Draft approaching, the Longhorns may be teasing a broader narrative—perhaps highlighting their pipeline to the pros or even hinting at current players eyeing similar bold moves.

Whatever the intent, the post has fans eagerly awaiting the next chapter in this Longhorns-Cowboys saga. Overshown will become the first Cowboy to wear the No. 0.
