Titans Drop Promising Update on Injured $76 Million Star

The Tennessee Titans were one of the most active teams during last year's free agency period and brought in several high-dollar veteran players. After a disastrous campaign in 2024, the team elected to bring in a new general manager, Mike Borgonzi, to clean up the mess that Jon Robinson and Ran Carthon made over the years.

L'Jarius Sneed was the biggest name that the organization brought in last offseason, but he missed 12 games in his first year with the Titans due to injury. Head coach Brian Callahan spoke to several media members at the NFL Combine on Tuesday about Sneed's recovery process and said, "He's on track."

Sneed was traded to the Titans in 2024 and signed a four-year, $76.4 million contract extension with the team. He came to Tennessee from the Kansas City Chiefs, where he won two Super Bowls in his first four seasons.

New Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi was an executive for the Chiefs during Sneed's tenure in Kansas City, so the two will be reunited this season in Tennessee. If he can stay healthy this season, Sneed will provide a much-needed boost for the Titans' defense.

In five games for Tennessee last season, Sneed recorded 23 tackles, including two for a loss. Over four years in Kansas City he totaled 223 tackles including 19 for a loss, as well as 10 interceptions, 40 passes defended and four forced fumbles.
