T.J. Watt: T.J. left the game in the fourth after being squashed by a Seattle offensive lineman. Watt would miss only a few plays and return, providing a sigh of relief for all of Pittsburgh. After the game, Coach Tomlin told reporters: "T.J. got injured in the game but I think he's going to be ok."

Joey Porter Jr.: There was a significant concern when Porter Jr. left the game early in the first half, seeing as he is one of the last starters in the Steelers' back seven. Porter Jr. would return after visiting the blue medical tent and played a considerable impact in the second half. It was never disclosed as to what Porter Jr. was dealing with. Coach Tomlin told reporters after the game that JPJ: "Went down but was able to get back in."
