With another four teams on a bye, waiver wire players may have to carry your fantasy roster. These four players should be your top targets for Week 6.
1. Bo Nix, QB, Denver Broncos (rostered in 10% of Yahoo leagues)
Don’t look now but Denver’s rookie quarterback hasn’t thrown an interception in the last three games, while managing to score five touchdowns (three passing, two rushing). After throwing for a mere 60 yards and a score against the Jets in Week 4, Nix went 19-27 for 206 yards and two scores against the Raiders in Week 5, giving the Broncos their third straight win.
His performance earned fantasy managers 23.16 fantasy points, giving him a spot in the top-10 at his position, but a heated exchange with head coach Sean Payton on the sidelines could hold more value.
With just under two minutes left in the third quarter of Sunday’s game, Nix and Payton appeared to have words after the quarterback failed to connect with rookie wide receiver Troy Franklin for what would have been a touchdown.

All parties involved would have loved to score the touchdown, but seeing Nix stand his ground against a hyperbolic personality like Payton, who jokingly compared the quarterback to Ferris Bueller, speaks to the rookie’s confidence.
With quarterbacks like Sam Darnold, Patrick Mahomes and Matthew Stafford all getting a day off in Week 6, Nix could be “so choice” at home against the Chargers
2. Tyrone Tracy, RB, New York Giants (rostered in 23% of Yahoo leagues)
With Devin Singletary out with a groin injury on Sunday, Tracy operated as the team’s lead running back with 18 carries for 129 yards and 14.10 fantasy points against the Seahawks. He didn’t score a touchdown in the 29-20 road win, but had 14 more carries than teammate Eric Gray who lost a goal line fumble that led to a 101-yard touchdown by Seahawks safety Rayshawn Jenkins.
Singletary could be available for the team’s home matchup against the Bengals on Sunday Night Football, but with 7.2 yards per carry in Seattle, Tracy is bound to see more carries against a Bengals defense allowing 23.85 fantasy points to running backs this season.
3. Jalen Tolbert, WR, Dallas Cowboys (rostered in 7% of Yahoo leagues)
Like Tracy, Tolbert saw increased reps in Week 5 with Brandin Cooks on the IR. Operating as the team’s No. 2 receiver, Tolbert had 87 yards on seven catches, including a game-winning four-yard touchdown in the Cowboy’s three-point win over the Steelers on Sunday night.
He also had a 48 yard grab late in the second quarter to help give him 21.7 fantasy points for the day, 10.3 more than teammate CeeDee Lamb. With Cooks on the back burner for at least three more games, Tolbert should do well in Week 6 against a Lions defense allowing 45.75 fantasy points to wide receivers, second-most in the NFL.
4. Chase McLaughlin, K, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (rostered in 17% of Yahoo leagues)
McLaughlin converted a pair of 53-yard kicks against the Falcons and remains perfect (10-10) on field-goal tries. The 28-year-old kicker has given fantasy managers double-digit points four times and ranks sixth among kickers with 51.0 fantasy points after five games.
