The Kansas City Chiefs feel like they have lost their "aura" after the Super Bowl loss, but when you have Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid as your quarterback/head coach combo, it won't take long to get it back.
With the draft fast approaching, it is here where some feel the Chiefs can get some positive vibes injected into the fan base.
The offensive line looms as the key area to target, despite Jaylon Moore signing as a free agent, but with Mahomes leading the group, one could say it is fine as is.
That leads us to the defensive line and for ESPN's Jordan Reid, the best player available approach should see Michigan stud Kenneth Grant taken in the first round.
"Pairing Grant with Chris Jones would give the Chiefs a truly disruptive interior defensive line," Reid writes. "Grant can be an immediate game changer in the middle with his size and movement ability, and he has upside as a pass rusher."
A big wall of mass in the interior of the defensive line, the Chiefs adding Grant could do wonders for their run defense which was 10th last season (108.1 yards allowed per game).
Possessing good power and length, Grant can eat up double teams with his monster 331 lb frame, and allow others to swoop in to get after the quarterback.
His physical attributes standout, and with Steve Spagnuolo's knack for having his defense as one of the league's best year after year, Grant could develop nicely alongside Chris Jones, George Karlafits, and Mike Pennel.
Offensive line is a need, but shoring up the defensive line with a good run stopper might top the wishlist.
