Who Is CeeDee Lamb's Cowboys Running Mate?

One of the Dallas Cowboys' biggest offseason needs is to get CeeDee Lamb more help at the receiver position.

With the Cowboys' odd signing of Parris Campbell, it makes many wonder exactly what the plan is at receiver. There are still solid options out there in free agency with Keenan Allen or Stefon Diggs, yet neither seems to be on Dallas' radar.

If a game were played today, Jalen Tolbert would be Dallas' No. 2 receiver behind Lamb, and while Jalen has made strides, that is just asking for trouble.

So, where is CeeDee's running mate?

We have seen social media run with the Allen move, and while it might cost a bit more than what the Cowboys would be willing to pay, getting a quality veteran receiver who can be a matchup nightmare is exactly what Dallas needs.

The Cowboys can't have "just" another guy; he has to be quality.

If it's a move in this free agency window?

Our 3-man list as of now ...

1 - Tyler Lockett

2- Keenan Allen

3 - Elijah Moore

Of course, old friends Brandin Cooks and Amari Cooper are still on the shelf as well ...

But if Dallas can't (won't?) get in there? That brings us to the draft.

Given that the majority of the Cowboys' free agent signings have been on defense, could the franchise be set to go offense in the first couple of rounds?

If the receiver room stays as is, then it would be a solid bet that a receiver is getting picked. Tetairoa McMillan, Matthew Golden, Luther Burden III, and Emeka Egbuka loom as the big dominos to fall, and with the Cowboys picking at No. 12, they might have their pick of that quartet.

But do the Cowboys want a rookie playing behind Lamb? Do they have enough confidence that Tolbert, Jalen Brooks, Jonathan Mingo, KaVontae Turpin and now Campbell can be enough behind that?

That doesn't instill too much confidence, but the longer it goes, we get the sense that CeeDee's running mate will come from the draft, despite two solid veteran options being available.
