A lot of rookies got to shine during the Kansas City Chiefs' clash with the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. One of them was very consistent throughout the NFL season but his team just could not mount a comeback that was enough to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy. It was none other than Texas Longhorns alum, Xavier Worthy.
Despite the big accomplishments of the Chiefs receiver and former Texas star, he is not at all safe from vitriol. Worthy did not particularly like the fact that Steve Smith Sr. called him out just a few weeks before the NFL Draft. The wideout kept the receipts and lashed back with a tweet.

In his first year of catching passes from Patrick Mahomes, Worthy completely balled out. The former Texas wideout was able to notch 638 receiving yards on 59 catches. He was also a lethal finisher in the endzone as proven by his six touchdowns.
When it looked like the Chiefs looked lifeless in Super Bowl LIX, it was worthy who gave their fans a much-needed fight. The Longhorns product ended up with 157 receiving yards on eight receptions. He also notched two touchdowns just to prove that Patrick Mahomes and Co. weren't folding despite the insurmountable lead of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Worthy has clearly dispelled all the vitriol hurled towards him. It is no wonder that Smith Sr. still wanted him on his podcast despite all of the comments that were thrown. His second year with the Chiefs might be even better as he seeks revenge.
