Connor McDavid is currently ruled out for the Edmonton Oilers next game against the Seattle Kraken, and while he's off, he's surely trying out his new toy for rest and recovery.

McDavid and his wife Lauren have often publicly shared their pass-times on social media, including athletic activities like wind sprints and ice baths - and now hydrogen baths.

Oilers fans have found what exactly this extremely niche device may actually be. It's not the exact same model, but similar products run at a price tag of well over $10,000.

A purchase like this could only be used for a wellness-chasing social media influencer, or a freak athlete like Connor McDavid. It's hilarious to see that he's really investing on cutting edge technology in bathwater, but hey, greatness comes at a cost. I guess.

Connor and Lauren appear to be putting down permanent roots in Edmonton, which will be great news for the captain signing a contract extension. Recently, Lauren McDavid revealed plans to open up a new bar and restaurant in downtown Edmonton.
