Following the shenanigans during Game 3 between the Capitals and Canadiens, the league has issued both teams a warning to ensure cooler tempers prevail.

Montreal Canadiens forward Josh Anderson and Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson were each fined $5,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct during Game 3 of their First Round playoff series on Friday.

The fight occurred at the end of the second period. Anderson and Wilson both received minor penalties for roughing and 10-minute misconducts for entering the bench and continuing the brawl there.

Today, NHL insider Renaud Lavoie revealed that the NHL has warned both the Capitals and Canadiens organizations to remain more disciplined during TV timeouts, warmups, and play at the end of the period.

The league was displeased with the arguments and fights, especially the situation that spilled onto the bench, which ultimately led to the two players receiving fines.

Game 4 is today at 6:30 p.m. ET. Meanwhile, there are concerns about the goaltending.

Capitals goaltender Logan Thompson was seen practising today

Capitals goalie Logan Thompson, who appeared to have a serious knee injury after colliding with top scorer Dylan Strome, unexpectedly was on the ice full-go in practice this morning and might be in tonight.

On the Canadiens' side, Samuel Montembeault departed Game 3 following what appeared to be a minor hamstring pull.

While he played a couple of shifts afterwards, there is concern about how much hamstring strength is needed for a goalie's lateral movement.

Montembeault has been confirmed to be out day-to-day, and he will miss tonight's game, which will send Cayden Primeau to the Bell Centre to serve as Jakub Dobes' backup.
