Golden Knights unveil new alternate third jersey

The Vegas Golden Knights will hit the ice next season with a bit of a different look, bringing the gold in their name into the forefront.

Vegas unveiled a new alternate third jerseys on Friday after months of hints. The franchise becomes the first team in NHL history to utilize a metallic gold uniform.

Team owner Bill Foley's most-used phrase — "Always advance, never retreat" — is embroidered on the inside collar. Working with the NHL and Adidas, the jersey completion process took two years.

The new jerseys will be worn with the home gray helmets and away white gloves. The crest on the front of the jersey is identical to the home and road jerseys, with the secondary sword logos on the shoulders.

Vegas doesn't currently have specific dates of when the jerseys will be worn, though special days like Nevada Day are an option and Saturday nights.
