Germany eliminates Greece in Olympic Quarter-Final
Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Germany defeated Greece 76-63 in Olympic bracket play to advance to the Semi-Final Matchup, where they will take on the winner of France vs. Canada.

Franz Wagner, forward for Germany and the Orlando Magic, led Germany in scoring with 18 points, battling against Greece's star big man Giannis Antetokounmpo, who finished the contest with 22 points; however, his efforts were not enough to push Greece into the Quarter-Finals, where they would have a chance to play for a medal.

Germany held Greece to 63 points, which was one of the main factors in their victory. This allowed them to advance to their first Olympic semi-final in their country's history. While the USA seems to be the fan favorite, Germany has proven it can knock off NBA stars throughout the Olympics and is hopeful for a chance to play for Gold.
