The Eastern Conference No. 1 seed Cavaliers hobbled the Miami Heat with a stunning 18-0 first-half run in Game 3 of their first-round playoff series, turning a nine-point deficit into a nine-point lead in four minutes.
Backup guard Ty Jerome was the catalyst of the run, following Heat forward Andrew Wiggins' step-back three that gave Miami a 15-6 lead with a driving layup.
He then recorded assists on four consecutive Cavs possessions and finished the run with five while also tallying a steal during the extended sequence.

Cleveland made 7-of-8 field-goal attempts, while Miami was 0-of-3 with four turnovers, setting the tone for how the rest of the first half went.
The Cavaliers built a 20-point halftime lead, 62-42, outshooting the Heat 54.8 percent (23-of-42) to 41.2 percent (14-of-34). Miami turned the ball over 11 times, compared to just four for Cleveland.
The Cavs (64-18) were the Eastern Conference's best team throughout the regular season, and they've played like it through the first 2.5 games of the playoffs.
They won the first two games of the series by an average of 15 points per game and are 24 minutes away from taking a 3-0 series lead, which no team in NBA history has overcome.
The Cavs could be closing in on a second-round berth, but they might not know their East semifinals opponent until next weekend. Cleveland will play either the Pacers (50-32) or Bucks (48-34), who are ensnared in a 2-1 series after Milwaukee won its first game on Friday.
Regardless of who they play, the Cavs should be ready. They haven't let off the gas all season.
