Landon Duckworth is one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2026 class and there are several big-time programs after his commitment.
Duckworth, from Jackson, Alabama, was previously committed to South Carolina and head coach Shane Beamer, but that's a commitment he called off last summer.
The Gamecocks are still very much in the running for Duckworth, though, and the news coming out of his camp is that he's set an official visit to the school on June 6.
Beamer and his staff have major competition, though, because Duckworth has also scheduled official visits to Georgia in late May, Florida in mid-June and Ole Miss on June 20.
Duckworth has over 30 offers to his name so other schools could jump in the mix, but for right now, this is his top group.
“There are some other schools I am looking at, but Ole Miss, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida State are the main schools I am focused on right now,” Duckworth told Chad Simmons of On3. “All of those are talking to me a lot, they want me to visit in the spring and I am planning to take official visits to all four.”
Why is he so sought after? The truth is, Duckworth is a tremendous dual-threat quarterback who projects to thrive in today's college football environment.
He finished his junior season with 3,109 yards and 34 touchdowns passing (with nine interceptions) while also rushing for 631 yards and 12 touchdowns.
The industry generated 247Sports Composite rankings consider him the No. 6 overall quarterback in the 2026 class.
