It's safe to say Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is having a terrific week.
On Friday, Salah, 32, signed a two-year extension with the club, ending months of speculation about his future. Then, on Sunday, he made English Premier League history in a home match against West Ham United.
In the 18th minute of the match, Liverpool forward Luis Diaz netted a right-footed goal off an assist from Salah. On the play, he broke the Premier League record for goal involvements in a 38-game span, with 45 (27 goals and 18 assists). Thierry Henry and Erling Haaland held the previous record.

Liverpool escaped with a 2-1 victory after defender Virgil van Dijk netted a goal in the 89th minute of the match. The Reds are now 23-7-2 (76 points) and closer to securing their 20th Premier League title. They hold a 13-point lead over Arsenal (17-12-3) with six games remaining.
Assuming the Reds win the championship, it would be the third Premier League title of Salah's 13-year career.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot expects the club to keep contending for championships as long as Salah's on the roster.
"It's so hard to win the league or the Champions League — only one team can do it every year," Slot said before the match against West Ham (h/t the Daily Mail's Joe Bernstein). "For a player to keep those standards seven or eight years in a row is probably even harder. And [Salah] has two more years to go and he will prove he's able to do so."
Perhaps Slot's assessment will prove correct. Considering Salah's breaking records, it seems he's still in his prime.
