While fans still await the final season of the hit show Yellowstone, more and more news and drama develops off screen.  From battles about coffee, famed actors walking away, to now rumors of Luke Grimes walking away from the acting scene.

These rumors have been reported on by Taste of Country.  Grimes released a debut country EP, Pain Pills or Pews, in October of 2023.  This was after the popular actor signed with UMG Nashville and Range Music.

The attraction to county music isn't new for Grimes.  In an interview with MusicRow, Grimes tells of being raised in Ohio by a Pentecostal pastor.  The church was a place Grimes' grew his music skills by playing music and even learning the drums at church camp followed by the guitar and then the piano.

Moving to Los Angeles, Grimes continued his music interests becoming a drummer in a country band but soon, acting took over. As is true for many people, the itch just didn't go away.

"I got the opportunity and I knew that if I didn't tru, I would really regret it one day.  Music -- especially country, folk and Americana music -- has been so important to me.  If I hadn't done it because I was afraid of the judgment, the workload or the stage fright...one day I would have regretted it," Grimes said.

A source told Life & Style, "He's not taking on other acting offers right now. Luke's really looking to hit the road sometime soon."

Soon is coming now, Grimes' website lukegrimesmusic.com has three stops already planned.  Teton Village, Wyo. at the Rendezvous Music Festival 2024 kicks off the "tour" on April 6, 2024 followed by Indio, Cali. at Stagecoach 2024, April 24-28 and then Cardwell, Mont. in late July.

Grimes knows he has been blessed and is honored to be a part of the country music scene.

"I'm just so thrilled and happy to be here.  I am real appreciative that I get this opportunity.  I'm first and foremost a huge fan."
