Adding to New York's healthy skate scene, another epic, well-built park is set for construction. Check out the plans for the Boogie Down Bronx below. With the Brooklyn Banks set to reopen this year, the skaters of New York City are steady winning. Good looking out to Alberto Correa and everyone involved. 

"As the advocate for this project, I am excited to present the plans for the new Bronx Skate Park! Personal development through sports has been a significant aspect of my community activism for most of my life. And I was thrilled to have helped identify a park and a community that would benefit from this facility.

Representing and organizing local skaters is essential to this process, as advocacy is necessary at different stages of skatepark development. Together we brought together the NYC parks department & the @theskateparkproject , and worked to convince the local community board and city council to support our initiative.

Once the partners promised funding, our community utilized its experience, and everyone involved contributed conceptual ideas for the construction of the skate park. Over the years, I have been fortunate to build relationships with key individuals in the skate community, such as @stever_nyc and @mannysantiago , who are lending their design expertise to the project, which I could not possibly be more thankful for. It truly takes a village to raise a skate scene, and I’m blessed to be part of this one in the Bronx!
