Watch: Primitive Drops Raw Kyonosuke Yamashita Clips from ‘Wildfire’

Kyonosuke is such a great example of this ambitious, talented, downright mind-melting new generation of skateboarders who are genuinely taking this silly little hobby of ours to insane new levels. The dude can do it all. And he does. 

Board control? Check. Deep bag of tricks? Check. Style to match? Check. It's all there, and his ability to blend power with finesse is undeniable. 

And beyond just the tricks and clips themselves, the edit shows us all just how determined and persistent Yamashita truly is. 

There's always a ton of persistence behind the perfection we see when these videos actually drop, and even though most of our favorite pros have the ability to make the toughest stuff look easy, there's often an unseen battle taking place behind the scenes. 

Skateboarding would be nothing without these battles. Always bittersweet. But when you're going to war to secure a clip and you finally get it, well, there's literally no better feeling in the world. IYKYK. 

Kyonosuke is one of my favs right now and his progression speaks for itself. He has his foot on the gas and he ain't slowing down anytime soon! Love to see it. Can't wait to see what else he brings to the table this year.
