As if running a marathon wasn't difficult enough, a British man decided to make it just a little bit harder by running one in ski boots.

Last week, Mike Humphreys decided to take on the Paris Marathon in a pair of what look like Tecnica Cochise 130 ski boots.

The Paris Marathon winds 42.195 kilometers, or 26.2 miles, from the Champs-Élysées into a loop around the Palais Garnier before hitting the Place de Bastille, continuing along the Seine, and ending on Avenue Koch.Even views of some of Paris' most beautiful and iconic landmarks like the Arc de Triomphe probably aren't enough to distract from how hard it would be to run in ski boots.

Check out one of Humphrey's videos below of the ski boot marathon endeavor.

While the Cochise boot has a walk mode, actually running in them, let alone for 26 miles, is no easy feat. Based on the video, it seems Humphreys was actually able to keep a pretty good cadence. According to a screenshot of his Strava, Humphreys was able to complete the course in about 6 and a half hours, which is still crazy impressive.

It seems that while he accomplished the seemingly impossible, it wasn't without paying the price. Humphreys definitely lost a few toenails along the way and can be heard saying in his videos of the race how much pain he's in, and that it was one of the hardest things he's ever done.

Humphreys feat at the Paris Marathon was part of a larger effort to run 30 marathons in 30 days and complete a series of wacky challenges like running in ski boots in order to raise money for research on MND (motor-neurone disease). So far, Humphreys has raised more than €30K.

While I absolutely applaud Humphreys dedication to such a good cause and commitment, I still have so many questions. Why run a street marathon in ski boots? Why not do it in an ultra-light boot? How are his calves feeling? Can we get this man a Tecnica sponsorship??
