The iconic annual freestyle park jam, Kimbo Sessions, has been cancelled for 2025.
The 2025 event would have marked the 10-year anniversary and was slated to take place from May 4-11, 2025.
Kimbo Sessions founder, Kim Boberg announced the cancellation of the event in a social post on April 22, 2025 citing lack of snow. Warm spring temperatures have meant not enough snow to run the event and has forced the Swedish host ski resort of Kläppen to end their spring season early. Due to the cancellation, the 10-year anniversary celebration of the event has been postponed until next year.
"It looked so good until it didn’t. This extremely warm spring forced us to cancel this years #Kimbosessions due to no snow. The 10 year anniversary is postponed until next spring! The we will be back in full force! But we still got a #KIMBONATION winner to announce! Stay tuned!Thankful for all the partners supporting this and I’m looking forward to next spring already! Much love / Kim," read the post.

Leading up to the event, Boberg and Armada hosted a video qualifier that would award one lucky skier a spot in Kimbo Sessions. Despite the event cancellation, a winner of the video qualifier will still be chosen and announced via the Kimbo Sessions Instagram.
In its 10 year history, Kimbo Sessions has been known as one of the most unique and creative events in freeskiing. Each year, Kläppen Snowpark has designed and built a park specially for the event with features that allow for top-notch creativity and innovation from some of the world's best freeskiers. Sweden's latitude and late sunset means that riders have often been able to ski late into the evening. In the past, names like Henrik Harlaut, Torin Yater-Wallace, Colby Stevenson, and Jossi Wells have all been a part of the roster.
Kimbo Sessions is one of a few, including Level 1's SuperUnknown, of jam-style freeskiing competitions designed to foster not just creative skiing, but community and camaraderie amongst some of the best skiers in the world.
Notably, the photography and film content that come out of Kimbo Sessions is also usually incredible between the park build, evening sessions, and talent.
