Genoa and Italian striker Balotelli, available as a free agent, have reached a verbal agreement, but the Italian striker won’t sign his contract before next week.
Gazzetta, in fact, confirms that Balotelli’s move to Genoa depends on Gilardino’s future at the helm of the Grifone.
The Rossoblu host Bologna at the Stadio Ferraris on Saturday, and a defeat would probably lead to Gilardino’s dismissal.
Gilardino has played a key role in the deal, calling Balotelli last week to sound out his availability.
According to Gazzetta, if he signs for the Grifone, Balotelli’s salary in Genoa will be between €250,000 and €300,000.
