Celtic face Kilmarnock on Sunday as Brendan Rodgers side travel to Rugby Park. The Scottish Champions were beaten at Rugby Park when the sides met in the League Cup at the beginning of the season.
The SFA have confirmed that David Munro will referee the game with Graeme Stewart and Sean Carr acting as Assistant Referees with Gavin Duncan on Fourth Official duties. Greg Aitken is on VAR with Andrew McWilliam assisting.
Celtic were 4-1 winners in the midweek meeting against Hibernian whilst Killie won 1-0 at Pittodrie. Derek McInnes’ side have been excellent at home; however, were beaten last weekend by Hearts at Rugby Park.
Celtic were 3-1 winners when the teams met earlier in the season at Celtic Park. Rodgers’ team will need to be at their clinical best to get a result at what is a difficult away venue. Rodgers spoke during the week about hoping that this would be one of the last trips to play on a plastic pitch.
The league authorities are reportedly discussing whether to outlaw astro surfaces, which would include Livi and Killie; however, Raith Rovers are on the top of the Championship, which would bring another Astro pitch to the league.
