Milan star Tijjani Reijnders explains that his goal celebration ‘sums up’ his motto: ‘That’s life.’

The Dutch midfielder is having an extraordinary season with the Rossoneri, having scored 15 goals and provided four assists in 48 appearances across all competitions.

He scored his latest goal in a Coppa Italia semifinal second leg against Inter, helping Milan qualify for the Coppa Italia Final.

Reijnders hit his classic goal celebration after scoring, and he has now explained the meaning behind his gesture.

Milan star Reijnders explains his goal celebration

“At home, I often joke around, and when things don’t go my way, I always say, ‘C’est la vie’ – that’s life,” he told Gazzetta.

“That gesture with arms up sums up my motto, but I prefer doing it on the pitch after scoring a goal rather than when things go wrong.”

Milan have remained unbeaten in five games against Inter this season, securing three victories and two draws.

However, the Rossoneri sit 9th in the Serie A table, and Reijnders is convinced that the Rossoneri’s inconsistency pushed them out of a European spot this season.

However, his biggest dream remains to win the 20th Scudetto in the club’s history in 2025-26.

Reijnders has recently signed a contract extension until 2030 with the Serie A giants.
