Napoli defender Natan has arrived in Seville to undergo a medical with Real Betis, making the move on loan plus an option to buy at the end of the season.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirms the financial details of the transfer.

Betis are set to pay under €1m for the one-season loan and there is an option to make it permanent at the end of the year for €7-8m.

Notably, this is only an option and will not become an obligation to buy.

Natan failed to make Napoli impact

The 23-year-old Brazilian was a gamble that did not pay off for the Partenopei after they sold Scudetto hero Kim Min-jae to Bayern Munich last summer.

A relative unknown, he was purchased from RB Bragantino for €10m, but managed just 21 competitive appearances for the club with one assist.

His career path was also damaged by a serious shoulder injury.

There had been links for a Serie A loan spell too, with Verona, Parma and Empoli interested, but he opted for Real Betis.
