Inter-Roma is among the games that will be rescheduled for Pope Francis’ funeral on Saturday, and there are only three possible dates to rearrange the crucial Serie A fixture.

Italian Minister Nello Musumeci has confirmed that Saturday’s Serie A matches will not go ahead and will be rescheduled for the day of Pope Francis’ funeral in Rome.

Only three dates available for rescheduled Inter-Roma

Lazio-Parma and Como-Genoa will likely be played the following day or on Monday, but there’s a bigger issue for Inter-Roma as the Nerazzurri are still involved in the Coppa Italia and Champions League.

Inter are due to meet Milan in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semifinal on Wednesday, April 23 and will visit Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League semifinal on Wednesday, April 30. This is why playing Inter-Roma this coming Saturday seems highly unlikely.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, the other two available dates are May 14, but only if Inter does not qualify for the Coppa Italia Final, which is scheduled for the same day, or Wednesday, May 21, before the final Serie A Round.
