PSG's Kylian Mbappe named 'FIFA 21' cover star

It's the second time this week Mbappe, who won his third consecutive Ligue 1 title with PSG after authorities halted play in late April due to the coronavirus pandemic, made headlines this week. 

Per Andres Onrubia of AS, Mbappe committed at least his short-term future to the French giants while speaking with Bein Sports amid rumors that he could accept a summer transfer to a club such as Real Madrid or Liverpool. 

"I am here in Paris and I want to be part of the project," Mbappe reportedly said. "I will be at PSG next season and I will try to win as many titles as possible."

Per ESPN, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner spoke of his excitement over being the latest face of the most popular world football game on the planet: 

"Being on the cover of FIFA is a dream come true. From my time at Bondy to Clairefontaine to the World Cup, this marks another big milestone.

"I've been playing this game since I was a kid and I am honoured to represent a whole new generation of footballers and be in the same group as many other amazing footballers who I now share this honor with."

Past FIFA cover stars include Virgil van Dijk, Eden Hazard, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Wayne Rooney and Ronaldinho.
