Many players are leaving Barcelona during a major retooling of their roster, and Ivan Rakitic reportedly is the latest player to move on from the club.
According to The Guardian's Fabrizio Romano, the Croatian international is set to return to Sevilla after six seasons with Barca. He'll undergo medicals on Monday and reportedly agreed to a three-year deal with the club.
Rakitic himself asked to Barça to leave the club. He only wanted to come back to Sevilla. Love story. Back @ home. #transfers https://t.co/tEIao7oaDF

Rakitic reportedly asked Barca if he could leave the club, like many players have in recent weeks, including Argentinian superstar Lionel Messi. The 32-year-old originally joined Sevilla in 2011 from Schalke on a €2.5-million transfer fee.
Before moving on to Barcelona, Rakitic won the Europe League with Sevilla during the 2013-14 season.
The midfielder tallied one goal and three assists during the 2019-20 campaign with Barcelona, which was down from his 2018-19 performance.
