Creating a PrizePicks Lineup

To create a PrizePicks lineup, users need to select between two-six (2-6) player squares in order to place a lineup. Then, a player and stat category can be chosen. All players must choose MORE/LESS for each square selecting.

Before selecting a player, PrizePicks provides a five-day average on the top-left corner of the square. Simply select the bar icon (for select stat categories only) and take a look at how the player performed (in relation to a given stat like points scored) in the last five games.

This performance breakdown option is very helpful when deciding to select a player.

Here's an overview of the rules to follow when creating PrizePicks lineups:

  • Select between 2-6 players per lineup (choose More or Less for each player)

  • Place a minimum $5 lineup fee

  • Each player can only be selected once (sports can be mixed in one lineup)

PrizePicks Payouts

Like other DFS platforms, the payouts can differ depending on the lineup amount placed and the number of players that were selected.

Here's a breakdown of all the payout options below:

  • 2-Player Lineup: Users must get 2/2 correct.

    • 2 correct: 3X

  • 3-Player Lineup:

    • 2 correct: 1.25X (Flex Play only)

    • 3 correct: 2.25X (Flex Play) or 5X (Power Play)

  • 4-Player Lineup:

    • 3 correct: 1.5X (Flex Play only)

    • 4 correct: 5X (Flex Play) or 10X (Power Play)

  • 5-Player Lineup: Three payout amounts are offered with the Flex Play option that's automatically selected before placing your lineup.

    • 3/5 correct: 0.4X

    • 4/5 correct: 2X

    • 5/5 correct: 10X

  • 6-Player Lineup: Like the five-pick lineup, Flex Play is the only payout option for a maximum six-player lineup.

    • 4/6 correct: 0.4X

    • 5/6 correct: 2X

    • 6/6 correct: 25X

If you place $5 on a six-player lineup, you can win up to $125 (5 X 25). A $10 lineup will earn you up to $250, and so forth.

PrizePicks Flex Play™️

As mentioned above, the PrizePicks Flex Play is a payout option that gives users three opportunities to win their lineup. Players will always win lineups if they get at least 3/5 or 4/6 correct. The more correct picks, you have, the higher the payout becomes.

For example, here are the payout amounts for a $25 lineup that has between three-six players selected.

  • $25 3-Player Lineup:

    • 2 correct wins $31.25 (1.25X)

    • 3 correct wins $56.25 (2.25X)

  • $25 4-Player Lineup:

    • 3 correct wins $37.50 (1.5X)

    • 4 correct wins $125 (5X)

  • $25 5-Player Lineup: Three payout amounts are offered with the Flex Play option that's automatically selected before placing your lineup.

    • 3 correct wins $10 (0.4X)

    • 4 correct wins $50 (2X)

    • 5 correct wins $250 (10X)

  • $25 6-Player Lineup:

    • 4 correct wins only $10 (0.4X)

    • 5 correct wins $50 (2X)

    • 6 correct wins $625 (25X)

Power Play™️

As mentioned above, a Power Play is a PrizePicks payout option that offers the highest payout for lineups that have between 3-4 picks.

Please keep in mind that Power Play must be selected prior to placing your lineup.

Three-pick Power Play

  • The user must hit 3/3 to earn a 5X payout

  • A $20 lineup that hits 3/3 wins $100

Four-pick Power Play

  • The user must get 4/4 to unlock a 10X payout

  • A $20 lineup that has a 4/4 result wins $200

Other PrizePicks Promotions

Every week, PrizePicks hosts two ongoing promotions; Taco Tuesdays and Flex Fridays. Each promotions has unique offerings that keeps the app engaging and fun to use.

PrizePicks Taco Tuesday

Every Tuesday, PrizePicks offers discounted player projections (like its own version of boosts) on an applicable board.

The app releases about three polls (called Taco Bar) throughout the day on Discord or X. Users are allowed to place a vote on which player they'd like to see with a discounted projection, which is usually 15%-25% off.

Once the results are in, the player that was picked will be available to choose on the board for two hours at a time. The applicable square will be first (in its respective sport) and have a taco icon and new projection next to it.

Spoiled Taco Policy

If a taco pick ends up being injured or forfeits a match, PrizePicks will mark the player as DNP (Did Not Play) and your lineup will be adjusted accordingly (payout multiplier and amount to win).

Flex Fridays on PrizePicks

This is the second promotion that PrizePicks users have access to every week.

When Friday comes around, PrizePicks Flex Friday allows users to receive up to $20 in promo funds back if their (first) lineup of the day loses. Once the lineup settles as a loss, the promo bonus will appear at the top right under your account balance in yellow numbers.

Keep in mind that these promo funds can turn into real money if the lineup you place with your bonus wins.

Live Squares

Introduced in October 2024, "Live Squares" offer PrizePicks users the opportunity  to bet on players in real-time with modified lines that are updates in real-time.

PrizePicks Demons and Goblins

Last year, PrizePicks revealed a new ongoing daily promotion named Demons and Goblins. In order to win picks with these discounted or inflated projections, users can only select MORE. Read on to learn more about Demons and Goblins, no promo code required!

Demon Lineups

Every day, users will come across many “Demon” lineups, which is square with a red demon logo. These kinds of picks are riskier, so winning lineups with demon logos can pay up to 100x your lineup amount!

For example, if you make a six-pick lineup with all demon projections, you'll be eligible to win a 100x payout. Here's a breakdown if a user selects all players with a demon logo:

  • 6 Demons = 100x

  • 5 Demons = 50x

  • 4 Demons = 66x

  • 3 Demons = 25.5x

  • 2 Demons = 8x

Here's a breakdown if a user selects five or less demon projections in a six-player lineup:

  • 5 Demon Picks = 100x (same as placing an 6-pick lineup with all demons)

  • 4 Demon Picks = 92x

  • 3 Demon Picks = 92x

  • 2 Demon Picks = 72x

  • 1 Demon Pick = 44x

Remember, you can always select five demon picks and one standard or goblin (less risky and easier) projection. It'll lower your payout but increase your chances of coming out with a win.

Combining four demon picks with one standard and one goblin pick (six in total) will lower your highest payout to 86x.

Goblin Lineups

Furthermore, players that have a Goblin (green goblin logo) next to their names are less risky and come with a lower payout.

Here's a breakdown if users choose to make a lineup with all goblin projections:

  • 6 Goblins  = 25x

  • 5 Goblins = 2x

  • 4 Goblins = 2x

  • 3 Goblins = 1.6x

  • 2 Goblins = 1.4x

Here's a breakdown if a user selects five or less goblin projections in a six-player lineup:

  • 5 Goblin Picks = 3x

  • 4 Goblin Picks = 5x

  • 3 Goblin Picks = 6x

  • 2 Goblin Picks = 11x

  • 1 Goblin Pick = 17x

In comparison, selecting at least one demon pick in a max six-player lineup is more beneficial due to the payout users can earn. Choosing demon, goblin, and standard picks will affect up your payout potential, so be careful when mixing your lineups!

Free Lineups

This is more uncommon, but PrizePicks may offer free lineups from time to time.

Free lineups can be associated with popular sporting events during holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas and do not require a PrizePicks referral code to earn.

PrizePicks Refer a Friend

PrizePicks users can earn $25 promo funds every time a new player enters their unique PrizePicks referral code (found by clicking the "Get $25" section) and makes a qualifying $10 (minimum) deposit.

Think of this common promotion as similar to the deposit match, which gives users promo funds that can be used on any lineup and rewarded in real cash if it results in a win.

An awesome part about this feature is that your unique PrizePicks referral code can be used as many times as possible, which is certainly uncommon amongst other DFS and sportsbook apps.

PrizePicks Reboots

If a user selects a player that gets injured and leaves their game, the PrizePicks Reboots policy has you covered.

Here the rules to keep in mind to ensure that your player will be scored as a Reboot (DNP):

  • You selected MORE

  • Your selected player is injured during the first half

  • The player doesn't make an appearance during the 2nd half

If your situation checks off these three requirements, that player you selected will no longer be a part of your lineup. This means that if you selected a 6-Pick Flex, it will turn into a 5-Pick Flex, and so on.

A 2-Pick Power lineup is the only lineup type that will be refunded.

Once your lineup ends, the payout amount will also be adjusted to account for the missing player.

Reboots are only awarded for players from the NBA, NFL, WNBA, CFB, or MLB. College football players who are participating in a AP Top 25 Matchup will be honored.

Players who DNP (Did Not Play) and a tie will also be removed from your lineup like a Reboot.

Another similarity between these Daily Fantasy Sports platforms is that they are readily available in most U.S. states. We recommend to always read the terms & conditions before downloading any of the apps mentioned above.

More specifically, recent DFS regulation has affected users in Michigan, where PrizePicks was banned. Michigan users only have access to PrizePicks' free version at this time. Looking for online casino games? Check out the Stake.us promo code to get moving.
