Her Elemental Burst, Ryuukin Saxifrage, unleashes a barrage of missiles on the target area, dealing Pyro Damage inside and marking one of the hit enemies with Aurous Blaze. When an ally deals any kind of damage to an enemy affected by Aurous Blaze, it will trigger an additional explosion dealing Pyro Damage in an area of effect. If the enemy marked in this way is downed before the duration of the effect expires, it will pass to a nearby opponent and can be triggered again.

Yoimiya’s best artifact set is Shimenawa’s Reminiscence, which provides an Attack boost at two pieces and a Normal Attack Damage buff at four pieces. However, the latter comes at the price of sacrificing some Energy, meaning you won’t be able to use Ryuukin Saxifrage as often. This doesn’t matter much to Yoimiya’s own DPS, which mainly comes from Normal Attacks, but can hamper the rest of her team, since the Elemental Burst provides an Attack bonus to everyone in the party but Yoimiya.

If you don’t want to lose out on that bonus, Crimson Witch of Flames is a strong alternative, as it can provide a high damage output without reducing Yoimiya’s Energy from time to time. This set is especially good in reaction compositions, such as an Overload team featuring Chevreuse.

In this team, Raiden Shogun or another off-field Electro character like Yae Miko, Fischl, or Beidou provide Electro effects for Yoimiya to trigger with her Pyro-infused Normal Attacks. Overload will deal massive damage to enemies and allow Chevreuse to use her enhanced Elemental Skill for additional damage. Chevreuse and Bennett keep the team healed up with the latter providing a damage buff as well.

• Yoimiya (Main DPS), Yelan (Sub DPS), Yun Jin (Support), Zhongli (Support)

Yelan, Xingqiu, or another off-field Hydro character take on the role of the Electro character in the composition described above, allowing Yoimiya to trigger plenty of Vaporize reactions. Yun Jin is a strong support for characters depending on their Normal Attacks, since she can buff those. In the fourth slot, Zhongli is a solid option due to his strong shields and resistance reduction, but you can also use a healer like Bennett here.

Yoimiya ascension materials – Genshin Impact

You’ll want to quickly raise Yoimiya’s level when you pull her, which means that you’ll need to farm her ascension materials. You’ll also require some material to upgrade her combat talents.

Divining Scroll and its upgraded versions are easy to come by as well, being dropped by the common Hilichurl casters.

Naku Weed is a regional plant you’ll only find on the islands of Inazuma. The best way to earn more Mora in the game is to farm Golden Ley Line Blossoms.

Crowns of Insight are a rare item gained from time-limited events or regional reward mechanics like the Grand Narukami Shrine in Inazuma, the Tree of Dreams in Sumeru, or the Fountain of Lucine in Fontaine.
