Not only does each character have their own interesting story that lets their personality shine, but it unlocks powerful new abilities for you, most notably letting you access new, more powerful Archetypes.

We’ve covered the best follower abilities in Metaphor: ReFantazio and this guide will help you get them, as it will show you the best answers to pick in every conversation you have with every follower across the whole game. On top of that, we’ll explain how to start each storyline, and any specifics you need to fulfill to reach the next rank.

Gallica – Mage Archetype

Gallica is part of the main story and impossible to miss. Her ranks happen automatically and cannot be skipped. There is no difference between her dialogue options.

Strohl – Warrior Archetype

Strohl is the first party member who joins you, and the first person to have their Archetype awaken after the protagonist. As a main party member, he is impossible to miss.

Once you obtain the gauntlet runner, Neuras will explain to you about a man he used to know on the way to Martira. This will unlock the Providing a Spark quest. To complete it you will need to visit Komero, and you can find information on the location of this village from the informant, from the Man-Eater in the Mine bounty, or from the quest giver in Thoroughfare Square. Once you visit Komero and hand over Neuras’ inheritance it will start his story.
