Recent Tekken 8 leaks suggest that Fahkumram might return to the franchise as the next DLC. For the benefit of newer Tekken players, Fahkumram is a Muay Thai fighter first introduced in Tekken 7. He was the fifth DLC fighter and debuted in 2019 as part of the Season 3 Pass. With Bruce Irvin out of the picture, many Muay Thai enthusiasts ended up using the Thai fighter as an alternative to satisfy their itch.
With Fahkumram possibly coming back to Tekken 8, the Muay Thai community will have someone to play as again.
Back on May 31, 2024, Reddit user cryptofutures100xlev posted a screenshot of the credits given to the motion capture actors and cooperations. They pointed out that Nadaka Yoshinari, Suakim, and their gyms were credited. Coincidentally, these real-life fighters played as the motion capture actors for Fahkumram in Tekken 7. With that said the Muay Thai fighter may return to the Tekken franchise.
Further proof of DLC was right under our noses this whole time!

These speculations are possible because the motion capture cooperations of Eddy Gordo and Lidia Sobieska are also in the credits. Eddy was the first DLC fighter to launch. Lidia recently made her appearance and was announced to be the next DLC soon coming out. Having all that in mind, Fahkumram coming to Tekken 8 doesn’t sound too farfetched.
When Fahkumram first launched in Tekken 7, he quickly became a fan favorite. Most of his moves dealt lethal damage and some found him overpowered. This resulted in his inevitable nerf. Due to the circumstances, the Muay Thai fighter’s usage rate dropped. Nevertheless, he managed to capture the hearts of some Tekken fans. Fast forward to the present day, his fans are now divided and debating whether or not he deserves a spot in the Tekken 8 roster. Here are some of their reactions on Reddit:
I f***ng hope [Fahkumram] is not the DLC cause f**k Fahk’s body proportion. There ain’t no way any Thai would be as big as him. I do hope they make another character that looks like Saenchai in terms of body proportion. Sure they can give him the generic body of men in the game, but don’t make him towering huge!
No lie he was the reason I bought Tekken 7 several months ago, love Muay Thai and dude looks bada**.
I hope he doesn’t return, unless they fine tune his hurtbox. I hated Leroy when he first released but I feel he was balanced out well at this point. A lot of the reason I hated [Fahkumram] and still did even after nerfs was because his body was so big it made neutral play the worst. I can’t tell you if there was a game where it looked cool fighting him because all it was was whiffs somehow landing and a bunch of moves connecting when visually it never touched. (And that’s for both Fak and his opponent, it felt bad on both sides)
Can [Fahkumram] come any sooner? It’s so weird having a fighting game with all these fighting styles yet Muay Thai isn’t in the base game.
Never liked his look and design. Looks like one of those god awful CAW p***ks young kids would make in those old smackdown vs. raw games. I think he was created from the leftovers of Sagat’s data from the Tekken Vs. Street Fighter project. I would rather have Bruce Irvin back instead of him.
It’s clear that not everyone is happy about Fahkumram possibly making a comeback. Nevertheless, those who want him back would undoubtedly love to play as him again in the near future.
