It is being reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the Seattle Storm and the Las Vegas Aces have reached a blockbuster trade agreement involving six-time All-Star Jewell Loyd to the Las Vegas Aces in a multi-team deal that would send Aces three-time All-Star Kelsey Plum to the Los Angeles Sparks.

The Aces will get the No. 13 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, while the Storm acquire the No. 2 pick and Li Yueru from the Los Angeles Sparks. The Sparks will then get the No. 9 pick from Seattle.

Kelsey Plum has spent the entirety of her career with the Las Vegas Aces. Plum was drafted No. 1 in 2017.

Plum requested a trade shortly after being labeled ‘designated core’ on January 11.

ESPN was the first to report the move.

Loyd is a two-time WNBA champion who averaged 19.7 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while with the Storm last season. Loyd requested a trade from the Storm after an investigation by the league into bullying but found no wrongdoing by coaches.

With the trade, Plum will be closer to her hometown and family of Poway, California. She will also get the chance to reconnect with former Aces’ Sixth Player of the Year Dearica Hamby.
