As A’ja Wilson gears up for her eighth WNBA season, she is looking to pave a new avenue for the future stars of the league.

Wilson is prepared and ready to get to the court this upcoming season.

Over the last year, Wilson’s career has soared to new heights. Last Summer, she won her second gold medal in the Paris Olympics. She also earned her third MVP by a unanimous vote.

Although from social media, it looks like she’s been enjoying her time off, she has not taken any days off in between.

Back in February, Wilson revealed her signature shoe with Nike, the A’One. Her signature shoe is also a part of a signature footwear and Apparel collection that will be dropping in May.

Connecting with fans all across the country has become an integral part of her offseason journey. During the NCAA Women’s Final Four tournament in early April, Wilson partnered with AT&T for their guaranteed campaign, which gave fans unique access to the players and action during the Men’s and Women’s Final Four weekend.

When asked what advice she would give the young players coming into the league very soon, A’ja Wilson sat down with Sports Illustrated, Wilson said, “I think the biggest thing that I can share is that life is going to come at you fast. I feel like we have one of the greatest transitions. I mean, you go from Final Four, to the draft, to training camp so quickly. So, I would say just take a moment. I pray. So, I’d say to take a moment and pray, and just be grateful at where you are, because the best is yet to come.”

Wilson was also asked how she felt coming into the new season.

“I’m excited! I got a chip on my shoulder. We lost the championships last year. We weren’t able to complete a three-peat. So now we have an opportunity to go after it again. So, I’m excited for it. I know my teammates are, and I’m just ready for training camp to start,” Wilson said.

Fans will be clamoring to see what’s next for the great A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces this upcoming season.

The Aces start the season with a rematch on May 17, against the New York Liberty. The Aces were defeated by the Liberty in the WNBA semifinals last season.
