Following the 2024 WNBA season, Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese had a couple of months off before joining the new 3-on-3 Unrivaled league for its inaugural season.
On Saturday night, Reese and the Rose Basketball Club were back in action, playing in their sixth game of the young season. This time, they faced Kayla McBride and the Laces Basketball Club. And the former LSU Tigers star didn't last very long.
With under a minute to play in the second quarter and Rose up 35-27, Laces guard Tiffany Hayes made a move toward the basket before a clapping Reese fouled her, knocking her to the ground. After the whistle blew, Reese walked away but gave the "waving-off" gesture multiple times toward Hayes.
Reese received her first technical foul of the game, and after arguing with the officials for a good bit, she received her second and was promptly ejected. Hayes got her payback and hit Reese with the "ejection" taunt. This marked the first ejection in Unrivaled history.

WNBA fans had mixed reactions to Reese's ejection, taking to social media to leave their thoughts.
"This is (expletive)," one fan said.
"She didn't even foul her lol," claimed a second.
"The ref made that entirely about himself smh! This (expletive) so soft my goodness," added another.
"Horrible refs. Them people there to see Reese smh," wrote a fourth.
"Tiff hayes a D1 flopper," posted a fifth.
Reese finished the game with six points on 2-of-7 shooting, 15 rebounds and two assists despite only seeing seven minutes of action.
Joining the Sky star on Rose includes Phoenix Mercury forward Kahleah Copper, Las Vegas Aces guard Chelsea Gray, Indiana Fever guard Lexie Hull, Los Angeles Sparks forward Azura Stevens and Washington Mystics guard Brittney Sykes.
Following the game against Laces BC, Reese and Rose will be back in action on Friday against Mist BC.
