Basketball fans are very familiar with the ballad of Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark. The Chicago Sky forward and Indiana Fever guard carried their college rivalry into the WNBA, which has permanently altered the trajectory and fame of women's basketball.

While Clark had already gained notoriety because of her exciting play style and unprecedented statistical dominance for Iowa, Reese was was one of many stars on the talented LSU basketball team. However, when Reese infamously mocked Clark and her "You Can't See Me" gesture in the 2023 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship, it catapulted Reese further into the national spotlight as well.

Reese's relentless following of Clark around the court, combined with the Tigers' victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes, put both Clark and the rest of the basketball world on notice.

The 6-foot-3 forward followed up her impressive college career with a historic rookie campaign in the WNBA, making the All-Star team, the All-Rookie team, and leading the league in rebounds per game. On Thursday, Reese took stock of her journey and couldn't help but reflect back on that fateful day in April of 2023 when she won the National Championship, admitting it changed her life forever.

"damn i won a natty 2 years ago today & it changed my life forever," she admitted.

In the two years since Reese and her teammates took down the Hawkeyes, not only has she enjoyed plenty of success on the court, but she, herself, has become a business. She starred on the cover of Vogue Magazine this offseason, started her own podcast, and struck endorsement deals with some of the biggest brands in today's market.

She'll return to the hardwood for the Sky on the opening night of the WNBA season, where they'll take on Clark and the Fever on May 17. This will be one of five matchups between the two teams this season, which will only further ignite one of the most exciting rivalries in sports.
