The Chicago Sky enter the 2025 WNBA Draft looking to add key pieces to the roster after a disappointing season in 2024. The Sky finished 13-27 in the first season of head coach Teresa Weatherspoon.
Weatherspoon was fired after the season for not dealing with drama in the locker room pertaining to Chennedy Carter, who led the Sky in points. The Sky chose to move on from Carter as well.
The Sky hired head coach Tyler Marsh in November. He’s set to help Chicago build around rising star Angel Reese, who was the No. 7 pick in 2024. Reese led the WNBA in rebounds during her rookie season with 13.1 rebounds per game.
Chicago made a couple of key free agency signings in 2025, adding Courtney Vandersloot and Kia Nurse. The Sky traded for Rebecca Allen and Ariel Atkins. They also traded for the No. 11, No. 16, and No. 22 pick in the 2025 draft.
