Chicago Sky Make Roster Move on Wednesday

The Chicago Sky, coming off a challenging 13-27 season, have already been active in reshaping their team.

In recent months, veteran acquisitions such as Ariel Atkins and the return of Courtney Vandersloot have sparked hope among the fan base.

The Sky also went ahead and drafted two of the top prospects in the 2025 WNBA Draft in Ajša Sivka and Hailey Van Lith.

It didn't end there, though.

Chicago just announced another strategic move, leaving no stone unturned in their quest to compete for a WNBA title.

On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, the Chicago Sky announced the signing of Sammie Puisis and Tilly Boler to training camp contracts.

Sammie Puisis, a 6-foot-1 guard, carved out a notable collegiate career split between Florida State and South Florida.

Over 150 career games, with 105 starts, she averaged 10.4 points and 3.2 rebounds.

Not only was she a reliable shooter, hitting 37.8% from three-point range on 6.1 attempts per game, but in her final seasons at South Florida, she elevated her scoring to 15.5 points per game, ranking third in school history in three-pointers made.

Tilly Boler, another 6-foot-1 guard, brings a complementary skill set to the table.

Having spent four seasons at Jackson State before transferring to Memphis, Boler's career trajectory has been on a steep incline.

From 2021 to 2023, she doubled her scoring output and then finished her final season at Memphis with a career-high 16.6 points per game, shooting better than 40% from the field and 37% from long range.

By injecting the lineup with lethal shooters like Puisis and Boler, coupled with the veteran leadership from players like Atkins and Vandersloot, the Sky are preparing to back up their young core of Angel Reese, Ajša Sivka and Hailey Van Lith.
