As the countdown begins for Paige Bueckers’ highly anticipated WNBA debut, fans are tuning in not just to her game, but to her playlist — and one name stands out: Drake.

The Dallas Wings’ newest star revealed that “Nokia” by Drake is a staple in her pre-game music rotation, a choice that could resonate with the Toronto rapper himself, who has long been a vocal supporter of women’s basketball.

With Bueckers now emerging as one of the most talked-about rookies in the league, her music taste is already adding a personal touch to her growing public profile.

“I read a couple of my devotionals. I pray. And then listen to some music,” Bueckers shared in an interview with Bustle.

While Drake has spent years supporting WNBA players—shouting them out in lyrics, attending games and even lobbying for a Toronto team—Bueckers’ subtle connection through music might just catch his attention.
