Shane Gillis Doesn't Hold Back Opinion Of Caitlin Clark

Former "Saturday Night Live" member Shane Gillis has become the latest celebrity to share their unfiltered thoughts on Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark.

Clark has become one of the most polarizing athletes in the world. After dominating the college landscape at Iowa, she went to the WNBA and became an immediate All-Star for the Fever. Although her popularity is undeniable, there are still so many people trying to bring her down at every turn.

Gillis, however, made it clear that he's a huge fan of Clark. During a recent interview, he revealed that the former No. 1 pick attended one of his comedy shows. He was legitimately starstruck after running into the NCAA's all-time leading scorer.

"I just added a third to the people that have stunned me: Caitlin Clark, dude. Caitlin Clark was at the show," Gillis said. "Before the show, we were in Indianapolis on Saturday, and we were like 'This is the house Caitlin Clark built.' We were at lunch and I was like 'It would be [expletive] sick if Caitlin Clark came to the show, that would be nice.' And then I was pacing back and forth between the show and green room, and then Caitlin Clark walked by.

"Then I was like 'Do you want to hang out in the green room?' And she was like 'Yeah, sure.'"

Clark has not yet shared her thoughts on her recent encounter with Gillis. To be fair, she's currently getting ready for her second season in the WNBA. It's been heavily reported that she added more muscle to her frame this offseason.

"She is stronger, first and foremost," Fever head coach Stephanie White told The Athletic. "She’s got a lot of self-awareness. She figured out right away that I need to get stronger, I can’t get knocked around as much. She’s done a great job of getting in the weight room and focusing on her strength, in terms of low center of gravity, time under tension, all of those things."

Maybe we'll see Shane Gillis at a Fever game this upcoming season.
