WNBA Attendance: Week in review

Overall, this week saw 14 games played. The Connecticut Sun’s game at TD Garden in Boston on Aug. 20 had the highest attendance (19,125). The Minnesota Lynx had the second-largest crowd for Maya Moore ‘s retirement on Aug. 24 (19,023). The Atlanta Dream’s games on Aug. 21 and 23 had the lowest attendance (3,260).

At this point in the season, the Indiana Fever has seen the largest increase from last season (+317%). Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Sparks are second (+73.9%), followed by the New York Liberty (+61.8%). Overall, league attendance is up by 46.3% from 2023, and this season is currently third in league history (9,678). Only the 1998 and 1999 seasons averaged more fans ( 10,869 and 10,205).

The Minnesota Lynx list tonight's attendance as 19,023.

The Week Ahead

This current week started on Monday, Aug. 26, and will see a total of 19 games played. The ION double-header this Friday, Aug. 30, will feature the Fever against the Sky (7:30 p.m.) and the Liberty at the Seattle Storm (10:00 p.m.).
