The second-ever edition of AEW WrestleDream has been announced.

The event will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington.

Last year’s event was held in the nearby Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington. The show drew 7,300 fans with 6,500 paid.

Pre-sale tickets will go on sale beginning this Wednesday. They will go on sale to the general public on Friday.

The inaugural WrestleDream in 2023 was held in recognition of the first anniversary of Antonio Inoki’s passing in 2022. Tony Khan explained to Sports Illustrated that Inoki inspired him to dream up his vision for what wrestling can be.

“When Antonio Inoki passed away, the wrestling world lost a king. Mr. Inoki built a legacy and created a kingdom that has touched us all. In doing so, he inspired so many of us to dream up our visions for what pro wrestling can be,” Khan said. “I’m one of the countless dreamers that Mr. Inoki influenced in his remarkable lifetime. Since he passed away exactly one year ago today, I’ve worked to create an event for fans around the world to celebrate his creations–and the fighting spirit that he will forever embody.”

Last year’s WrestleDream featured five matches that were awarded over four stars by our own Dave Meltzer. Bryan Danielson vs. Zack Sabre Jr. was given five and a half stars, Swerve Strickland vs. Hangman Page four and three-quarter stars, Chris Jericho & The Golden Lovers vs. Don Callis Family four and a half stars, FTR vs. Aussie Open four and a half stars, and Christian Cage vs. Darby Allin four and a half stars.
