Location For WrestleMania 42 Announced On SmackDown

WrestleMania 42 confirmed for New Orleans on April 11th and 12th, 2026.
The Rock confirmed the location on SmackDown.
Caesars Superdome to host WrestleMania for the third time.

With WrestleMania 41 fast approaching, WWE decided to confirm a little over a year ahead of time exactly where WrestleMania 42 would be taking place. The show is confirmed for April 11th and April 12th, 2026, and will be returning to a venue that the "Showcase of the Immortals" has used multiple times before.

The announcement was made by a member of the TKO Group Holdings board of directors and "The Final Boss", The Rock, as he made a special appearance on tonight's episode of SmackDown before confronting WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes.

In typical WWE fashion, the location for WrestleMania 42 in 2026 was confirmed shortly before WrestleMania 41 is scheduled to happen here in just a couple of months. For the third time in WrestleMania history, the biggest show of the year is coming back to New Orleans and the Caesars Superdome on April 11th and April 12th next year.

There are very few venues that have been able to host WrestleMania multiple times, with Madison Square Garden, MetLife Stadium, and the SkyDome being a few of the others to hold such an accolade. This marks the third time that WWE has hosted WrestleMania in the Caesars Superdome, with WrestleManias 30 and 34 being the other events held there.

Previous WrestleManias In New Orleans

The Caesars Superdome, previously known as the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, can hold around 73,000-76,000 people, with the venue's record attendance coming from WrestleMania 34, which held around 78,100 people back in 2018. WrestleMania 30 saw an attendance of around 60,000-65,000 back in 2014.

The last two times WWE held WrestleMania at this venue saw historic moments like The Undertaker's WrestleMania streak come to an end, Asuka's undefeated streak suffer a similar fate, and Daniel Bryan conquer The Authority and capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. What major event could WrestleMania 42 possibly have in store for fans in 2026?
