WWE touted the attendance for each night of WrestleMania 41, claiming more than 60,000 fans were there live on both Saturday and Sunday. However, it's believed the show wasn't a sellout and ticket prices dropping days before the show suggest that's true. Soaring ticket prices will be the leading reason why WrestleMania 41 wasn't a sellout, and even WWE's own Superstars can't believe how much some fans paid for a half-decent seat.
Randy Orton himself is even shocked how much ticket prices are for WrestleMania 😠pic.twitter.com/LhW76vxU4U— FADE (@FadeAwayMedia) April 22, 2025
A TikTok shared by ngs_creations shows fans who were at WrestleMania over the weekend bumping into Randy Orton and his wife Kim, seemingly at a hotel. The Viper chats with the fans and poses for photos, during which time they talk about how much the fans paid for their tickets to the event, revealing it cost them $30,000 to attend both nights.
A shocked Orton then asks where they were seated and how far back they were, to which one of the fans reveals they were in the lower bowl, so not even floor seats. "It's embarrassing. That's so much f***ing money for a seat," Orton says as he turns to his wife. The clip then cuts off as the fans are seemingly about to reveal how much tickets were to the SmackDown before WrestleMania and the Raw after it.
It's unclear how many tickets the fans bought, but there are three pictured. According to Cultaholic, the most expensive seats for WrestleMania this year were $10,000 each. If the fans in the video really did pay $30,000 for their tickets, then that likely means there are a couple more of them that aren't shown in the video. However many there were, it was still enough for Orton to label the pricing structure dictated by his employers as embarrassing.
Ticket prices have been an issue in WWE since TKO took control of the company. Last year's Survivor Series was the first indicator that things were starting to get bad, and then Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing caused WrestleMania ticket prices to go through the roof within hours of going on sale.
As if paying thousands to be at WrestleMania, or not attending at all because it was simply too expensive, wasn't bad enough, every time another PLE comes and goes, WWE brags about it being the highest gate in company history. WWE has already done that with WrestleMania 41, and it must realise that the only reason that's the case is because it's charging too much for its tickets.
