The Patriarchy win vacant AEW Trios titles on Collision

New Trios Champions have been crowned.

The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, Nick Wayne, and Killswitch) won the titles on Saturday’s Collision, defeating The Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson and The Gunns) to win the vacant titles. The finish had Mother Wayne spraying something into the eyes of Juice Robinson as he was going for an unprettier, causing Christian to reverse and hit the killswitch for the win.

After the match, Christian took all three of the Trios titles for himself, celebrating as Killswitch put him on his shoulders. The lights flickered briefly during the celebration, hinting at a future confrontation with the House of Black.

The titles were declared vacant on last week’s Collision by Christopher Daniels after it was announced that Jay White was out of action with an injury. The Bang Bang Gang attempted to fix the problem by saying that Robinson would take his place, but Daniels overruled them and stripped them of the titles.

Bang Bang Gang had held the titles for 83 days, defeating The Acclaimed to unify the AEW Trios titles and the ROH Six-Man Tag Team titles. During their run, the trio held not only held those titles but also The Acclaimed’s version of the Trios titles, carrying nine titles at once.
