The long-awaited WrestleMania 40 documentary, “Wrestlemania XL: Behind the Curtain”, is now available.
WWE premiered the documentary on Wednesday afternoon. It can be watched below:
The film focuses on the story between The Rock, Cody Rhodes, and Roman Reigns leading to this year’s WrestleMania in Philadelphia. While the main event match had originally been set to be Reigns vs. The Rock, a last-minute pivot saw The Rock & Regins team together to take on Rhodes and Seth Rollins in a tag team match of night one of WrestleMania, with Regins defending the WWE title against Rhodes in the main event of the second night.
Originally, the documentary was set to air just a few days after WrestleMania 40 back in April. However, it was delayed for unknown reasons. Amid speculation that The Rock had something to do with the delay, former WWE head writer and executive for Seven Bucks Production Brian Gewirtz denied the speculation.
Rhodes went on to defeat Reigns in the main event of night two of WrestleMania, completing a two-year storyline and winning the WWE Championship for the first time.
