In 2018, WWE made history with Evolution, its first all-women’s pay-per-view event. The show featured top female talent and was hailed by the company as a significant step forward for women’s wrestling. Now, after years of anticipation, reports from the likes of WrestleVotes indicate that WWE is planning to bring back this landmark event with Evolution 2. Here’s everything we know so far.

WWE Evolution 2 Rumored Date and Venue

According to multiple sources including WrestleVotes and PWN, WWE is in the preliminary stages of organizing Evolution 2. The event is tentatively scheduled for July 5, 2025, at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. While these plans are still subject to change, the current trajectory points toward a summer showcase for the company’s female superstars.

Announcement Timeline Rumors

Fans awaiting confirmation likely won’t have to wait much longer. An official announcement regarding Evolution 2 is expected to be made shortly before WrestleMania 41, which is set for April 19 and 20, 2025, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

WWE Evolution 2 Potential Matches

While an official announcement is still not expected in the immediate future, there are of course rumblings regarding some of the potential matches that the company could put on for Evolution 2. The first Evolution back in 2018 featured the following:

  • Raw Women’s Championship Match – Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Nikki Bella
  • SmackDown Women’s Championship Last Woman Standing Match – Becky Lynch (c) vs. Charlotte Flair
  • NXT Women’s Championship Match – Kairi Sane (c) vs. Shayna Baszler
  • 2018 Mae Young Classic Final – Io Shirai vs. Toni Storm
  • Trish Stratus & Lita vs. Mickie James & Alicia Fox (with Alexa Bliss in their corner)
  • Natalya, Sasha Banks & Bayley vs. The Riott Squad
  • Battle Royal – Winner receives future Women’s Championship Match

It’s very likely that WWE will want to have a WWE Women’s and Women’s World Championship match on the show at the very least, and with the likes of Stephanie Vaquer leading the line for NXT women she will also likely be on the card.

We will update this page as and when we hear more regarding the WWE Evolution 2 event.
