WWE Raw April 21st, 2025: Announced Appearances & More

WrestleMania 41 weekend has wrapped up, and WWE fans are in an uproar after a very controversial ending. John Cena is now the Undisputed WWE Champion and has broken Ric Flair's world championship record (well, sort of). Change is in the air of WWE and hardcore fans are intrigued tonight as to what can happen.

John Cena Is To Speak On Tonight's Raw

John Cena is now the Undisputed WWE Champion after beating Cody Rhodes in fairly dominant fashion. While reactions have been heated to Cena's record-breaking win, the champion confirmed at the post-WrestleMania 41 press conference that he would be on Raw tonight.

While it's unknown exactly what Cena will say, he said this at the press conference:

"Tune into Monday Night Raw to see how I ruin wrestling and keep in mind you're now talking to the last real champion."

For all of Cena's bluster, he is set to wrestle matches throughout this final run of his and with WWE Backlash taking place in the hometown of his biggest rivals Randy Orton, many fans are calling for those two to square off one more with the usual babyface/heel dynamics flipped.

Who Else Will Appear On WWE Raw Tonight?

WWE has not released much in the way of exact matches or promos for tonight, but going by what happened at WrestleMania we'll surely see some fallout for the following wrestlers:

  • CM Punk and Roman Reigns were betrayed by Paul Heyman on Saturday as he sided with Seth Rollins in their triple threat. Punk and Reigns have said nothing in the aftermath of the match so at least one of them will surely have something to say tonight.
  • Lyra Valkyria is now a double champion with her returning tag team partner Becky Lynch. However, we still have no idea who took out Bayley to remove her from the WrestleMania 41 card. We should get some answers tonight.
  • Karrion Kross cut an incredible worked shoot promo on the post WrestleMania 41 show about AJ Styles' loss to Logan Paul that you can see here. It seems like Logan Paul will move on from Styles and this will instead move onto a full AJ Styles vs. Karrion Kross storyline.
  • The New Day are finally tag team champions again. They did not get much promo time in the lead up to Wrestlemania so it would be nice if they got some time tonight.
  • Jey Uso finally won his first ever world championship in WWE by making Gunther tap out to a sleeper hold. If I had to bet money, he's opening the show with a massive celebration. Wouldn't surprise me if he faces Gunther at Backlash in a rematch with a stipulation.
  • Now that WWE has acquired Mexican promotion AAA, how will they leverage that into the El Grande Americano gimmick?
  • Iyo Sky proved that she's nobody's second fiddle with a win last night against very strong challengers Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair. Belair is technically a Smackdown star so while she might not be on the show, Ripley's reaction to losing yet another title match will be something to watch for.
