Ever since starting his professional wrestling career back in 2005, Tommaso Ciampa has had a defining look to him. Many fans took a liking to Ciampa's appearance during his heel turn in NXT, where he debuted a massive beard and shredded physique. He would even play into some comments about him looking like a certain video game character when he debuted a Kratos-inspired attire for a match against Bron Breakker.
Ahead of WrestleMania 41, Ciampa would take a photo with his DIY partner Johnny Gargano, showing off a fresh cut that shocked many fans at first glance. Many comments have stated how he almost looks unrecognizable.

Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa were seen ahead of WrestleMania 41, with the former WWE Tag Team Champion showing off a new clean-shaven look that fans haven't seen from Ciampa in many years. Ciampa confirmed that the look wasn't done purely for aesthetic reasons as it was a necessity.
Ciampa supposedly took a fall recently that made a massive and deep cut in his chin, resulting in Ciampa deciding to shave his beard clean off to patch himself up.

WWE fans have been very quick to crack jokes about Ciampa's new look, comparing him to characters like Elmer Fudd or even a lawyer who once made an appearance on SmackDown many years ago for Muhammad Hassan. Tommaso himself even made a joke stating that after the fall, he was okay, but that his beard wasn't.
While fans might miss the massive beard he once rocked, it does make him look a bit more fitting for the heel character he has been playing on television. Ciampa won't be competing at WrestleMania, but he and Gargano will be competing for the WWE Tag Team Championships in a TLC match on SmackDown next week.
