WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther (Walter Hahn) & wife Jinny Sandhu (former NXT UK wrestler Jinny) welcomed the birth of a baby boy on Wednesday.
Gunther announced the birth in a social media post with the caption:
This morning our son entered the world. What a blessing
Gunther & Jinny, both 36, announced their marriage this past May after a London ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel at Ten Trinity Square.
Jinny officially announced her retirement from wrestling in January 2023. Her last match took place in November 2021 in NXT UK.
Gunther is in the midst of the longest Intercontinental Championship reign in WWE history, holding the title for 566 days and counting. He has also climbed the leaderboard to third place all-time for most days as IC champ, trailing only The Miz (592 days as recognized by WWE) and Pedro Morales (617 days recognized by WWE) despite holding the title just once. Morales was a two-time IC champ, while Miz has held the title eight times.
Gunther defeated The Miz to retain the Intercontinental title on Raw on December 18 in his most recent match.
