With New York City being the largest sports market in the U.S., it's no surprise the state has their own network to keep the fans happy. Although many of its teams are featured regularly on national TV, there’s still a massive amount of action to cover for millions of local fans. MSG Network is the main outlet for that coverage. This regional sports network (RSN) features hundreds of games annually from the New York Knicks, New York Rangers, New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, Buffalo Sabres and more.

If you’re a New York sports fan, you should probably know how to watch MSG Network. Fortunately, there are several ways to keep up with the action, even without a cable subscription. Read on to find out how to stream MSG Network live.

Watch MSG Network on DIRECTV STREAM

  • Pricing begins at $86.99/mo
  • 90+ live TV channels
  • Free trial available

DIRECTV STREAM is one of the best platforms for sports, but you’ll need to upgrade from the basic plan to get the most out of it. MSG Network is included in the Choice plan, along with more than 15 other major sports networks for major national and international events on channels like ESPNFox Sports 1 (FS1), Big Ten Network, MLB Network, NBA TV and NFL Network

DIRECTV STREAM offers two additional higher-tier plans with more sports and premium channels. Although it’s one of the more expensive options for watching MSG, all plans include unlimited cloud DVR storage and no cap on streaming devices at home. You also get a few major sports networks you can’t find on Fubo, including TBS, TNT and truTV.

Watch MSG Network on Fubo

  • Pricing begins at $84.99/mo.
  • 211+ live TV channels
  • Free trial available

As good as DIRECTV STREAM is for live sports, it’s got tough competition in Fubo. The Fubo Pro plan offers more than 30 sports networks, including MSG, for customers in-market. Note that on top of the monthly subscription cost, you’ll also have to pay a regional sports fee. The price varies and is based on your location.

New York viewers can keep up with their favorite local teams, along with getting extensive national and international coverage on channels like beIN Sports, ESPN, ESPN2, FS1, NFL Network, CBS Sports Network, Big Ten Network and SEC Network. You can add even more sports with upgrades or add-ons, too. There are a few different options, which include channels like NBA TV, NHL Network, MLB Network, NFL RedZone, MLB Strike Zone, ESPNUTennis Channel and more.

Overall, Fubo offers more sports coverage than any live TV streaming platform. That said, it’s missing some key channels, such as TBS, TNT and truTV. Plans include 10 simultaneous streams on your home network and unlimited cloud DVR recording space.
